“Lots of people want to be the noun without doing the verb.”
When I first heard it, this quote struck me.
I realized how it applies to so many of us.
For years, I wanted to be a published author.
But I didn’t want to write.
For years I wanted to be a self-employed, Executive Coach
But I didn’t quit my day job.
For years I wanted to lead retreats in Hawaii.
But I didn’t plan.
I wanted to be the noun, without doing the verb.
Where is that true for you?
Where do you covet the NOUN,
But dismiss, ignore, justify, hide-from, or devalue
Turn it on it’s ear.
Focus on the verb instead.
The noun will follow.
Choose the verb.
Then DO it.
