Last year I attended the annual Mastermind offered by Brooke Castillo.

It’s an annual event for Certified Coaches through The Life Coach School.

“Get over your nonsense” was a running theme of the weekend.

And it’s really stuck for me.

I hear it in the back of my mind almost daily…

Get-over-your-nonsense.

When you think about the things in your life you want more or less of, what is it you tell yourself about why you CAN OR CAN’T do (whatever IT is)?

All your responses are nonsense.

It’s your mind making up lies.

Your nonsense prevents you from

RISK

NEW EXPERIENCES

CHANGE

EFFORT

ADVENTURE

FAILURE

LOVE

HEALTH

JOY

ETC…

When we come up with excuses for why we CAN’T

We are simply indulging our nonsense.

Try this:

What do you wish you had more of in your life?

Now…Why do you tell yourself you can’t or don’t have it?

Make a list.

Now… ask yourself, how much of what you wrote is just nonsense.

Because most things are malleable.

Most things are changeable.

Most things are doable, with the proper conviction and commitment.

Am I right?

Let’s make this the year of getting over our nonsense.
